They messed up my order and I was extremely disappointed with it. However upon calling the restaurant and speaking with the owner to air my concerns I decided to change the review. The owner is a consummate gentleman that doesn't shy away from criticism. He listened to my concerns as a consumer and I greatly appreciate that because most people aren't too adept at handling criticism. I had been to this restaurant several times prior to writing my first bad review and my experiences were always positive and even though my experience ordering out was disappointing I will continue to eat at La Masa. People make mistakes and I wish to see La Masa continue to grow and prosper. read less

I thought we will have an issue with being seated do to them not requiring a reservations being required, but no it was an easy transition. They had the option of outside and inside seating the moment we arrived. Service was great from the moment we arrived. Our waitress was attentive and gave us min to min updates on our food. Maduros are fried to perfection, most place serve maduros that aren't quite riped yet, but this place knows what they're doing. Rice is on point. Ambience is great, not to loud not to quite, music selection played makes you feel at home. Best part is your check is taken care of at the table in front of you. If I had one minor complaint is the cilantro lime chicken is a little dry for my taste. I would definitely use thighs instead of the shredded chicken breast. First off the folks in there are just so friendly, and the food is pretty yummy! I went there one time for my birthday and I liked it so much that I wanted to come back. My friend actually brought me here initially and asked me to be her bridesmaid!
In the picture I have posted on here you can see the mini empanadas, which is my go to favorite, they have so many! What's cool to know is that the empanadas have printed on them which empanada they are so there is no confusion as to what is inside the empanada. Cute spot in the BX, totally coming back!

The waitresses were very attentive and nice. I liked the decor and the fact that they use mason jars for cups ( not a new concept, but still something I am fond of). The place was really clean and they had music playing in the background, just loud enough to enjoy without being obnoxious or stopping you from having and enjoying a conversation with your company. I really recommend stopping by to eat in or even getting something to go. It will definitely become a regular spot. read less
